Product Details

A colonnade is a row of columns carrying an elaborately decorated entablature, architecture that speaks to me of taking the time to create true beauty. I hope to invoke similar feelings with this shawl.

Corinthian Colonnade is a crescent-shaped shawl. It requires 400-700 meters of fingering or sport weight yarn. Use needle size that gives you a nice lacy effect. The shawl can be enlarged by adding additional repeats. The pattern is charted.

Red shawl used 110g Madelinetosh Tosh Merino Light in Tart 100% merino, 420 yd/384 m per 100g on 4 mm (US 6) needles. Blocked size is 58 x 145 cm (23 x 57 inches). Gauge is 17 stitches per 10 cm in stockinette.

White-pink shawl used 1 skein Kauni Wool 8/2 Effektgarn 100% Wool 660yd/604m per 150g on 4.0 mm (US 6) needles. Blocked size is 64 x 155 cm (25 x 61 inches). Gauge is 16 stitches per 10 cm in stockinette.
