Product Details
This cosy bonnet uses DK yarn. It is worked mostly in stockinette with an i-cord edge and ties and has a basic cable front. It has a snug fit but is quite stretchy. This bonnet knits up quickly, making it great for a last minute homemade present.
SIZES:
Tiny baby, Newborn, Baby, Toddler, Child, Adult
Materials needed for this project:
- DK weight yarn 50-190 metres
- 4mm circular needles
- Optional: 4mm DPNs
- Cable needle
- Stitch marker and darning needle
I like to use DROPS cotton merino. Merino/cotton blends give a lovely soft finish for a baby, as well as having a nice stretch to it. But any yarn with wool as its main fiber should work.
Gauge
22sts x 30 rows = 10x10cm or 4x4inch in stockinette. If you don’t meet the gauge, try using a different size needle.
