Product Details

Cosy Crescent is a shawl with infinite possibilities. You can use oddments of yarns, all plain, all variegated, gradients or a different weight of yarn to the fingering (4 ply) suggested.

The lace bands are offset by the garter band (7 ridges, not 5 as shown in the photo).

The pattern includes written instructions and charts.

The stitches used are: k, p, k-tbl, M1L, M1R, yo and k2tog.

Gauge is not important, as long as you use the appropriate needles for the drape of the fabric you wish.

The shawl can be made bigger if you want to wrap it around your neck several times, or smaller if you want a neckerchief. Just bear in mind that if you want it to be bigger, you will need more yarn. The stretchy bind-off will use quite a bit of yarn, so if you keep on going to finish up a skein, leave about 3 times the amount you would for a normal bind-off.
