Courants marin is a shawlette made with short rows to put emphasis on handpainted yarn colors. It uses only one hank of light fingering yarn Rowan fine art handpainted with wonderful colors! Edges are done perpendicular to shawl to get stripes from different directions as waves from ocean. Courants marin is in french and it means: sea current. I created this pattern to get a wider length and narrower height shawlette that I'm wearing as a scarf.
