Product Details
Skill Level: Advanced beginner. The stitch is basic half double crochet, but you need to be familiar with colour changes. Skills required: Slip knot, US half double crochet (HDC), colour changes, weaving in ends. Yarn: You will need four different colours of DK yarn. I used Sheepjes Merino Soft DK yarn which is on the chunkier side of DK yarn. I used approximately 100g of the white and brown yarn, and 70g orange and red yarn. Dimensions: 210cm x 18cm (Length can be adjusted) This scarf is quite wide at 18cm, if you would like a narrower scarf, you could use a finer yarn such as 4ply. Gauge: 4x4 inch/ 10cmx10cm square= 20 stitches by 10 rows Crochet hook: 4mm or the corresponding hook size for your yarn. Other equipment: Scissors, darning/tapestry needle This pattern is inspired by the cats Afghan by Sandra Miller Maxfield (1997)
