Product Details
This sock is another in the "Mindless Sock Pattern" series.
It is perfect for a beginner wanting to learn colorwork knitting.
Perfect pattern for beginning knitters.
It has no stitches to pick up for the gusset and has a very simple heel.
It includes both top down and toe up!
Needle: 2.25mm and 2.75mm (US1 and US2) Gauge: 9st/in with stockinette in the round Yarn: Approximately 250-300yds of 2 highly contrasting colors, so 500-600yds.
A colorwork sock uses twice as much yarn as a regular sock in the colorwork areas. You're main color (MC) should be a solid and your contrasting color (CC) can be self striping, varigated or another solid with a great deal of contrast to the main color. I recommend a sock yarn that has some nylon and is tightly spun to increase the longevity of your sock. Sizes: S/M/L(CO: 64/72/80) (multiple of 8) (You may want a cast on that is larger that you usually use, as colorwork has very little stretch.)
