Product Details
The cowl starts with a few cast-on stiitches anb is knit flat. Small sections of garter, mesh, short rows and brioche are repeated and make for an interesting texture packed knit. The focal point of the cowl is a 'color pop' section that is done in 2-color brioche. All brioche stitch patterns are super simple 2-row repeats.
To me, watching the raindrops splatter and braid down the windows, while sharing chai with a loved one is almost the Indian equivalent of the Danish ‘Hygge’.
The straight, slanting and curved lines featuring in this pattern, represents the window bars and the rain making patterns on it. There is a fun little color pop section in the cowl and I decided to make it in the color of ‘chai’.
Lastly, ‘Cutting Chai’ refers to half the quantity of tea sold at half-price, served in special small sized glasses. The idea is to enjoy several cups of tea throughout the day but also moderate the amount of intake in some way. :))
