Product Details
These are instructions to make a classic 1970s grey and black Dalek or a bronze and gold Dalek from the new series of Doctor Who that started in 2005. You can easily change the colours – white and gold, or silver and blue are other combinations that appear on-screen - or you can go wild with your imagination and make one that is bright pink or rainbow striped. I have also included a pattern for a tiny party hat so your Dalek can have have fun! The pattern is written using US crochet terms, and the list of abbreviations includes the UK alternatives.
Use the following amounts of double knitting weight yarn.
For classic grey and black Dalek: Approx 35g grey yarn. Approx 20g black yarn.
For new series bronze and gold Dalek: Approx 35g 'bronze' mid brown yarn. Approx 20g black yarn. Approx 20g 'gold' yarn. Small amount of silver grey yarn.
For both: Small amount of blue yarn. Small amount of white yarn.
