Product Details
From the 18th to 20th centuries, Danish women wore these knitted "night shirts" (Nattrøjer) as part of their daily dress. Although many variations were created, the sweaters usually contained some of the following construction details: split welts worked in a knit/purl checkerboard motif, underarm half-gussets, square necklines.
Note that the yardage of the Wendy Guernsey would lead you to believe this calls for a DK weight yarn but the Guernsey yarn specs (and the sweater gauge) are for fingering weight. calls for 6-9 100g balls at 246 yds each.
