Yarn is poorly spun, in some places so thin that it pulls apart during knitting and the length has to be cut out and a thicker piece joined in. Some has tiny bits of what appears to be wood shavings spun in which have to be picked out. I am using it (although I'm not sure why I kept it) but would never buy again despite the great colour range!
I found it harsh to knit, and was expecting it to be softer being 100% wool
WARNING! NOT as described. I ordered 2 x 10 BALLS of Donegal luxury tweed aran ......they are NOT BALLS OF YARN but skeins which require two people to wind them into a ball or a suitable chair etc to hang the skein on (which I don't have). One skein is ruined as it got tangled and the untangling process has made it look different to the rest of the yarn. Also, sadly as it's knitting up several sections of the yarn are extremely thin and breakable, so much so that you need to remove them and rejoin the yarn or risk holes developing in the garment. Spent £132.00 on this yarn so understandably disappointed.
Really lovely flecked wool which twists quite a lot, but it is knitting up well.
