Product Details
This shawl was inspired by the generosity and trust provided to me by Backyard Fiberworks at the Maryland Sheep and Wool Festival. I knew I had to make something to feature the wonderful minis I was gifted to work with. After bingeing on an entire season of Mad Men and researching vintage patterns, I decided to go with these paired waves on a triangular shawl made with garter stitch short rows.
The construction method is worked in 3 sections; main triangle, right and left sides and the short row method throughout is intuitive and easy to master. You may substitute any short row method you prefer. The pattern is written using basic w&t instructions.
The colorful waves of this shawl would also look great with a single color, a long gradient, or using (at least 15g each) of those leftovers that you’ve been saving to show-off again.
Blocked Gauge: 16 sts x 28 rows garter = 4”/10 cm
