Deva

Deva (a playful water sprite) is part of my “Touch of Magic" series, a collection of quirky modern sweaters and vests.

Deva vest is completely seamless and is worked from the top down. I have used an amazing technique developed by Susie Myers, “contiguous set-in sleeves", that allows shoulder shaping without the use of a single short row.

The design features Fountain lace panels and a knitted on belt, though the vest can be made without it as well.

Notions:

• 3.5 mm/US #4 circular needles (40 cm/14" and 60 cm/24");
• 4 mm/US #6 circular needles (60 cm/24");
• 2 stitch markers to mark shoulder/sleeve areas in color A;
• 1 stitch marker in color B;
• Tapestry needle;
• Waste yarn/stitch holders
