This is a pattern for a light and lacy shawl. All three of the stitches are traditional Shetland stitches
This shawl is knitted with fingering weight yarn. The shawl is 21 1/2 inches x 74 inches. However, there are instructions contained within the pattern for: Stole: 15 inches wide, Large Shawl: 25 inches wide, Wide Scarf: 13 -inch-wide, and a Traditional Scarf: 8 ½ inches wide,
The stitches are charted ONLY.
Skill Level: Intermediate (assuming a very good working knowledge of lace knitting)
There are also instructions for an optional crocheted border, should you want it edged.
Any heavy fingering weight or sport weight yarn will work for this pattern, and requires about 1100 yards. No crochet hooks ae needed it you don't want to edge the shawl
