Product Details
Named after the Roman goddess of the moon, Diana is a softly sparkling shawl that combines beads, lace and garter stitch. The garter stitch transitions are reminiscent of a traditional stitch sampler and allow the knitter to relax between beaded sections, while the lace weight yarn and dramatic use of beads keep the shawl light, airy and glamorous.
Diana is a three-quarter square shaped shawl, so it sits beautifully around the neck as a petite but dramatic piece of ‘neck jewellery’. It is worked from the top centre outwards, beginning with a garter stitch tab and increasing at each edge and on either side of two spine stitches.
Pattern includes charts and written instructions; shawl can be worked using either. All beads are placed using a crochet hook.
Diana uses 400m/440yds of lace weight yarn (shown in Brooklyn Tweed Arbor 1 skein). Ensure you check gauge carefully and purchase extra yardage if in doubt.
Diana has been professionally tech edited.
