Product Details
This shawl features a unique cable stitch that is combined with a traditional Shetland lace stitch. Combined, they make a striking shawl. For those of you that enjoy knitting cable lace, I think this cable will intrigue you. Even most veteran cable knitters will probably find this particular cable new and different from most that they have knitted.
The stitches are charted out only.
Skill level: Intermediate (assuming a working knowledge of cable and lace knitting).
There are also instructions for an optional crocheted edging contained within the pattern.
The sample was knit with Handmaiden's Casbah, but any heavy fingering weight or light sport weight yarn will work for this pattern.
No crochet hooks are needed if you don't wish to edge the shawl.
