This hat is really easy and quick to knit – it is excellent if you need to make a lot of hats, for a group to all wear the same thing, or to give everyone in your department a seasonal gift (that’s why I invented it), or to sell at a charity event. I love the fact that the decreases for the top spiral in to the middle – it shows more if the colours are simple – it just adds a pretty bit of detail. I love to use the Paintbox chunky pots, you get three hats from a ball, but any chunky yarn will do - 70g or so per hat.
