Product Details
Eddystone is a stranded colourwork hat knit in two colours. It has no long floats and so is suitable for knitters who haven’t done a lot of stranded colourwork before.
Different sizes are achieved by changing the needle size/gauge and working from the charts for each size. There are lots of options for using the charts and your gauge to achieve different sizes. You can also knit more or less ribbing to change the height of the hat.
Gauge, needle size and approximate finished size for the samples:
Large: 26sts/28rows per 4”/10cm. 2.75mm & 3mm needles 24cm high/64cm circumference at brim. Colours Dusk and Sholmit
Medium: 28sts/30rows per 4”/10cm. 2.5mm & 3mm needles 20cm high/60cm circumference at brim. Colours Pebble and Prairie
Small: 30sts/32rows per 4”/10cm. 2.25mm & 2.5mm needles. 16cm high/56cm circumference at brim. Colours Yellow Ochre and Nighthawk
All the samples used Jamieson’s Shetland Spindrift. If substituting then try to choose a similar yarn
