The Elain Shawl is the first of 3 shawls inspired by the book series “A Court of Thorn and Roses” by Sarah Maas.
This shawl came about through a collaboration with indie dyer Angela of Pretty Twisted Knots. It is through her love of these books that the colourways, inspired by the characters of the books, was born.
The Elain Shawl is inspired by the character, Elain. It is a simple, delicate, slightly ornate shawlette. The design focuses on the character's love of her garden but also her inner strength.
I was inspired to design a shawl that represented these characteristics and I love what I came up with. A crescent-shaped shawl, with simple but delicate flower eyelet lace, with a strong but delicate border.
I hope you love the first of the three shawls we have collaborated on as much as we do.
The other two shawls are the Lords of the Court Shawl and the Feyre Shawl.
