Product Details
This is the knitting instructions to make an elephant mobile. This pattern was first featured in Knit Now magazine, issue 54. The elephants can be enjoyed as small toys. The pattern includes step-by-step photos and instructions.
The elephant is 8cm.
Materials • 10g pale pink, cream, grey DK (8-ply) • Small amount of felted tweed 4-ply • Small amounts of dark brown DK • Oddments of DK yarn for star, heart, and ball • Toy stuffing • 110cm Garden wire
Tools • A pair of 2.75mm (US 2) DPN knitting needles (DPNs are to make i-cord. The pattern is knitted flat and sewn up at the end.) • A chenille needle • Scissors
Knitting skill is basic knit, purl, k2tog, kfb (knit into the front and back loop to increase one stitch). The tail is made in i-cord. The method is explained in the pattern.
