What you'll need
Product Details
These cuff-down socks begin with twisted ribbing, which transitions into a delicate, feminine, leaflike lace pattern on the front of the leg and stockinette on the back. Using relatively easy decreases and yarnovers, the lace pattern moves quickly down the leg, leading to a traditional heel flap and gusset. The foot is completed with a wide toe that is grafted.
To knit this pattern, you need to know how to:
knit and purl working in the round and flat,
work a lace pattern from a chart or written directions,
work basic decreases (k2tog, ssk, sk2p) and yarnover increases, and
use Kitchener stitch to graft live stitches.
Please note that yarn estimates are just that; actual yarn usage will depend upon the size knit and foot length. If you are knitting the largest size and/or have a very long foot, you may need to buy a second skein of yarn. Please be sure you have enough yarn to complete your project.
This pattern has been professionally tech edited.
