Product Details

Envy is a top-down sock that features a shifting rib pattern. The rib jumps to the right every few rows. The adjective “the grass is greener on the other side” definitely applies to these socks. The stitches almost seem to be jealous of one another and therefore keep jumping to the other, greener grass.

Pattern is available in size extra small (56 stitches), small (60 stitches), medium (64 stitches), large (68 stitches) and extra large (72 stitches).

Gauge is 9 stitches per inch and 12 rows per inch in stockinette.

Sample was knit in Gründl Hot Socks Sesia (420 meters (460 yards)) in colorway 04. Sample has a 9” foot and is size medium. Sample used 63 grams and 273 meters (299 yards).

Materials: * 420 meters (460 yards) of fingering weight sock yarn * 2.5 mm (US 1.5) double pointed or circular needles * Tapestry needle

Pattern can be worked from written or charted instructions.
