Espejos was created in collaboration with Malabrigo and their Quickies Program.
Espejos is a set of cowl + fingerless mitts, adorned by cables and buttons.
The cables make this pattern very enjoyable, not boring at all, but not difficult either. As one knits, the cables form a design of undulating curves. I love how the cables move away and then converge again, creating a movement. The cables form a series of mirrors on the cowl, in an Art Deco style.
The buttons add a stylish touch. They are put all along the cowl and on the wrists of the mitts.
The cable pattern is easy and explained by diagram. It is worked flat for the cowl and in the round for the mitts.
This is a quick project which can make a lovely gift.
You will need 2 skeins of Malabrigo Rios. The cowl comes in one size, while there are 2 sizes for the mitts.
