Ethel is a crescent-shaped shawl and you can wear it in differents manners (shawl, wrap, scarf).
A circular needle with a cable of 32 inches (80 cm) will help you to knit comfortably.
In the written instructions, you will find the explanations to knit the pattern at the bottom of the shawl. But if you have a another favorite technique to knit decreases, go for it. Often, the technique we choose depend of the yarn we have. Take time to knit a swatch for experimenting with your yarn.
