This cowl with fair isle knitting patterns is a nice project to start, if you want to make something small with fair isle knitting or want to practice fair isle knitting.
Supplies: - Katia Basic Merino (52% Merino wool, 48% Acrylic, 50 grams = 120 meter), leftovers in color: o 03 Off white o 08 Dark grey o 10 Beige (I used 1 ball) o 22 Maroon o 30 Turqoise o 41 Mustard o 44 Dark Green or 16 Dark Green o 45 Blue - Circular knitting needle size 6 US, 20 inch long / 4 mm, 50 cm lang - Stitch markers - Tapestry needle
Stitches used: stockinette stitch (knit all stitches in the round), knit 2/purl 2 for the ribbing.
Techniques: knit in the round, stranded colorwork (the techniques are not explained in this pattern but you can find many instruction video's on the internet!).
