This is the 11th pattern in my Souvenir Skeins collection, inspired by the places we visit and designed for the skeins that come home with us. I designed this pattern for my first trip to Rhinebeck in 2023! It started as a simple sketch: a triangle shawl with vertical stripes on one side, and horizontal stripes on the other. It took a while to perfect, but I’m thrilled with the results. This shawl uses two skeins of sock weight yarn, making it ideal for those perfect skeins you’ll find at your own local festival!
Pattern is written in US crochet terms.
Yarn: Fingering/Sock weight yarn (weight 1). Approximately 820 yards. I used approximately 775 yards of Explorer Knits Denali Sock yarn in the color Acorn Stash. Tester yardages varied from 720-924 yards.
Hook: 3.75 mm, or size needed to meet gauge.
Finished size: 80” wide by 20” deep, after blocking.
Gauge: Before blocking: first 12 rows in pattern = 4” tall by 2" wide
