Product Details
Fibonacci's Biased is a lightweight wrap or scarf in the shape of a parallelogram. It uses the Fibonacci Sequence in both ascending and descending order to achieve the striping. The wrap is worked on the bias, so the striping is diagonal.
The wrap is 75 inches from tip to tip and 9.25 inches in width (not blocked).
The following stitches were used: chain, single crochet, half double crochet, half double crochet 2 together, half double crochet 3 together, slip stitch. Special stitch combination: picot.
Fibonacci's Biased can be customized. You can easily increase both the length and the width of the wrap.
The wrap can be made with 2 colors or more colors, if desired. It will not work with self-striping yarn, I believe, because the sequence of stripes would not show up. It does lend itself to yarns with long, gradual color changes. I used 2 colors of Freia. If you decide to use other yarns, the split between Color A and Color B is close to 50% each.
