Product Details
Designed as a compliment to the 'Shindig' dress worn by Kaylee Frye, engineer of the 'Serenity' in Joss Whedon's cult space-western 'Firefly'. A rare departure from her oil splattered overalls, the many layered skirt inspired long pleated gauntlets, using a tuck stitch technique, whilst the ruched button-up bodice is represented by a swag and bobble textured pattern over the back of the hand. The silk content of this indie hand-dyed yarn (in variegated pink, apricot and cream) gives a luxurious sheen as befits the belle of the ball.
Worked in-the-round from cuff-to-knuckle with easy to follow thumb gusset. Instructions are charted with written explanation. This pattern is rated as moderately difficult.
