Product Details

Eve must have been the very First Bride and if she had had a bridal veil in the Garden of Eden, then surely it would have looked something like this lacy shawl of floating leaves! Pondering the design of the first ever bridal veil inspired this lace leaf shawl.

First Bride is a crescent shaped shawl that drapes to a soft point with traditional Estonian edging.  It is worked top-down in a completely seamless manner and instructions are included to make it larger.

The design lends itself nicely to several yarn weights.  Make it in a lace weight for a truly ethereal bridal shawl or in a light fingering weight for greater stitch definition and a little more warmth.

Instructions are both charted and written.

SIZE  75 inches/190.5cm wide and 23 inches/ 63cm deep at center point. * *

YARN:  Any sock yarn or fingering weight with good stitch definition and drape. Requires approx. 700 yards/640m.

Experience Level:  Accessible to an advanced beginner lace knitter.
