Product Details
The fisherman’s nap crochet blanket pattern creates a traditional looking aran cable blanket without using any post stitches. It’s a warm blanket perfect for getting cosy on the sofa.
This is an intermediate level blanket pattern, though once you learn the special stitches it is fairly straightforward. The pattern assumes knowledge of basic crochet stitches, techniques and terminology It uses two special stitches in combination to create the cabled effect. The stitches are described in the pattern along with links to written, photo and video tutorials for each. You will also work in the front and back loops in places.
After a gentle blocking to even out the tension, the finished blanket pictured measures 130cm long (stitches) by 115cm wide (so it’s not quite square).
I have added an adjustment section at the end of the pattern which includes alternative stitch and row repeat counts to create the blanket in various sizes along with the approximate yarn requirements.
