Product Details
The inspiration behind this pattern was Amy Johnson, a pioneering English aviatrix. Amy set many flight records in the 1930s, and rose to the ranks of First Officer in the Air Transport Auxiliary during World War II. She died in a crash in 1941 under disputed circumstances. There is a very iconic photo of Amy with a scrumptious collar so I wanted to create a hooded cowl that could keep you extra warm. The post stitch pattern creates upturned arrows that mimic the flying geese quilting pattern.
