Product Details
These socks are somewhat more colourful than the classic black and white movies but were inspired by Glenn Strange’s portrayal of the monster in House of Frankenstein.
These monster socks feature ragged scars on the legs and are made up of a patchwork of different coloured blocks. Perfect for using up sock yarn scraps along with a 50g ball for the main colour.
Just as in the iconic image of the monster strapped down to the table the feet are strapped to the soles. The socks are worked cuff down with both in the round and flat knitting, but no seaming is required.
The socks need to be worked either using 2 circulars or a set of 5 dpns due to the colour work – other methods would require a lot of awkward needle rearranging. The pattern is written for 2 circulars. If using dpns place a quarter of the stitches on each needle, N1 and N2 = circular N1, and N3 and N4 = circular N2.
