Frogs are a classic staple in any amigurumi artists' bag of tricks.
In this pattern, you will learn how to crochet a doll that looks advanced, but uses very beginner friendly techniques. In addition, you will also learn how I crocheted a doll that can stand up on its own without the use of cardboard or wires.
That's right! The only materials you will need are yarn and stuffing... and crochet hooks and needles, of course. This pattern works for both a small 9 to 10 inch doll (2mm hook/ Stylecraft Special DK yarn) and a towering 13 to 15 inch doll (3.25mm/ double-strand method of Stylecraft Special DK or Red Heart Super Saver yarn) depending on your hook size and yarn type.
