Product Details
The geometric pattern of this shawl was inspired by the tiles onboard the ferry between Puttgarden, Germany & Rødby, Denmark - a route that is called the "Fugleflugtslinjen" or "bird flight line", as it is the way migratory birds take on their way to and from Scandinavia.
As the pattern repeat can be worked over and over, you can knit this pattern in any weight and at any gauge you feel comfortable with. You will, however, have to steek - so make sure your yarn is suitable for a crochet-secured steek.
In the pattern, you will find helpful links to further informations, such as tutorials, if a method is not 100% straight forward. With these "training-wheels", I hope for the pattern to be manageable for ambitious fairisle novices & those new to steeking.
