This is a beginner cowl for a knitter who wants to try a pattern stitch.
There are 2 repeat rows and third to make the butterfly pattern. Not difficult at all , you only need to know how to Knit and purl.
The cowl can be as long as you want, just keep knitting to your desired length.
You can double wrap it or keep it short like I did to use as a neck/ear/head warmer.
The gauge is nothing to worry about, If you find a yarn you like go for it, work out how wide it will be and if you like the idea off you go! I used an Ombre yarn from my stash during covid lockdown that is 10 ply with 140metres per 70g ball just over one ball. Happy Knitting :)
