Product Details
The scarf is inspired by leaf buds. "Gemma F." is short for the latin term gemma follipara, which means just that, leaf buds. It is a great knit for spring and should keep your neck warm all through summer!
The pattern for the lace edging is available in a charted form as well as in written directions. And I am particularly fond of the bind-off, which is a combination of Jeny´s Surprisingly Stretchy Bind-Off and the Picot Bind-Off. There´s an illustrated detailed appendix explaining all techniques used including the bind-off.
The sample was knit in Knit Picks Alpaca Cloud. A substitute yarn is shown below.
