This hat knits from the bottom up. Ear flaps are knit flat and then attached by a cast on brim. Hat knits like a regular bottom-up hat from there.
Needles: US 6 circular and double pointed needles, stitch marker Yarn: Worsted weight
Gauge: 5 stitches + 6 rows = 1 inch in stockinette stitch.
