Product Details

I thought up the Groovy Chemo Chick Crochet Wig while I was in cancer treatment myself, dressing up for each hospital appointment even though I'd lost my hair. "Proper" wigs were just so expensive, I bought purple party wigs and wore headscarves instead. I'd text my friends a picture asking “More Queen at Balmoral than Hepburn at Tiffanies?”

This ruffle yarn wig is designed in that spirit, but with a soft cotton yarn inside, to keep you comfy.

This wig may be worn regularly (I'd be careful how you wash it, though, in case it unravels…ooops…), or just once for a party, a fundraiser or just for a laugh – to cheer up the other patients, cancer nurses and oncologist – or for a photo to send to friends and family, to say: “I may have cancer, but I’m still me”.

Whether you have cancer or not, want to use the wig to cover hair loss (or hair regrowth that just isn’t “you”), or just for fancy dress, I just hope this pattern gives you a smile.

Notes
The scarf yarn gives the frills and swing of the wig, while the cotton aran is soft on the scalp. An alternative scarf yarn is Wendy Rococo.
