Product Details
The inspiration for this design came from the yarn, Shibui Staccato and Silk Cloud. It is such a beautiful shade of green, it makes me think of a woodsy forest during the time of Camelot. So a cardigan named Gwenevere with leaves seemed appropriate. The cardigan is worked from the top down in one piece beginning with a rounded yoke that has leaves on a purl background. Raglan increases are worked to shape the bodice. There is short rows across the back so that the front neckline hangs a little lower than the back neckline. And there is waist shaping. The body of the cardigan is worked in Stockinette Stitch with a leaf border at the bottom followed by a ribbed band. The button bands and the neckline are worked with a vertical rib from picked up stitches. The arms have the same leaf border and ribbing as the bottom of the sweater.
Shibui was used for the sample, an alternative is suggested.
