Product Details
This is a straightforward men’s pullover with a secret code knitted into it for fun. The rib pattern running up each side and down each sleeve is based on the binary code for a set of initials. These can be the initials of the person who’s wearing the sweater, someone else’s, or whatever you like. You can even spell out a word (as long as it only has 4 letters). Strategic finishing techniques help this sweater hang well and look interesting. The front and back are worked flat. A few short rows across the shoulders improve the fit and keep the back of the sweater from riding up. The body is assembled using 3-needle seams, and then the sleeves are picked up and worked in the round from the top down with short-row sleeve caps. Instructions are provided to convert this pattern to a cozy boyfriend-style sweater for women. * Note: choose EITHER Harrisville Designs WATERshed OR Artesano Aran for this project.
Note: Pattern updated 16 Aug 2016. Corrected short row and back neckline BO for XS.
