Product Details

I designed this pattern as a fun way to showcase handspun yarn, but if you don't spin, it also looks great with handspun like yarns such as Noro.

Materials:

225yds handspun yarn (If you don't spin, this pattern would also look nice with a handspun like yarn such as Noro) Scraps of black yarn Set of 5 4mm US 6 double pointed needles 12mm safety eyes White felt Stuffing Stitch marker 2 stitch holders Scissors Tapestry needle Row counter

Gauge:

This pattern was designed with handspun in mind, and if yours is anything like mine, it's not always even throughout. For that reason I'm not going to give a gauge. To achieve a bear roughly the size I made you want to use a mostly worsted weight yarn and size 6 needles. If your handspun is thinner or thicker than worsted, you can still use it to make a bear you just want to adjust your needle size accordingly. You want to make sure that your yarn/needle combo produces a tight knit fabric so the stuffing doesn't show through.
