Product Details
Heartwood is a wide triangular shawl, available in two sizes, worked top down in a soft merino fingering weight yarn. The visually interesting fabric of the shawl is created by combining stocking stitch sections with eyelet and textured stitch sections.
Yarn Requirements Approx. 445 (800) yards/407 (732) metres of fingering/4 ply yarn. Large version (brown shawl) shown in Hedgehog Fibres Skinny Singles Fingering (100% Superwash Merino Wool; 400 yards/366 metres per 100 grams) in Damned Nation. Small version (grey shawl) shown in Malabrigo Mechita Fingering (100% Superwash Merino Wool; 420 yards/384 metres per 100 grams) in Plomo.
Gauge 20 sts and 32 rows per 4 inches/10 cm in stocking stitch after blocking. Gauge is not crucial but a different gauge will alter the finished size, drape and amount of yarn required.
