Colour combinations both within and between hearts are unlimited, making this an ideal pattern for using up scrap yarn.
This pattern is solely formed by working heart shaped motifs, then joining them together in a prescribed layout. The crochet required is at an advanced beginner level, using ss, sc, hdc and dc in the round.
It is unfortunately not suited to join as you go techniques, and motifs are sewn together. Joining instructions are described and include a series of photos of every step.
To make the ball shown, using DK yarn and a 3.0 mm hook, I used the following quantities:
Red: 20m
Green: 20m
Blue: 20m
Yellow: 25m
