Top quality product
Good amount of cotton, tightly wound with no cardboard tube in the middle, cotton of consistent thickness although some slightly rough joins in yarn, weaves up well in a rep weave project.
I used this to make my first macrame project in nearly fifty years. It is really easy to work with and feels lovely to the touch. There was also sufficient quantity for me to make two fringed plant holders, which I wasn't expecting. I will certainly be buying some more so that I can continue with my macrame projects. I also like the fact that it will take natural dyes and, the fact that it is recycled.
I purchased this because I am making bags for xmas presents and the crochet pattern I am using called for 8mm (UK) sized hooks. The cotton is much thicker than expected and as it's not coated it quite hard on the hands to use. I had to buy a metal hook which made it easier. It is very heavy duty and actually perfect for what I need. It crochet's up very nicely (even using such a large hook) making the bag is very robust. I would recommend it for this type of project but would make a week comment that because it is not coated, the strands separate which creates extra work as you need to go back and redo the stitches.
