My 2020 New Year's resolution was to teach myself to knit fairisle. After a few hats I got the hang of it and started to design my own just as we entered lockdown in the UK. I asked my followers on Instagram to suggest a name for the design and the recurring themes were Hope, and Spring - and so Hope Springs was born.
Made with beautiful Shetland Spindrift 4 ply, it will fit an average sized adult head, approx 22" - although you could adjust the size by changing your needle size. Or extra plain rows could be added between pattern blocks to give a little extra length.
I have used 9 different shades but one of them (the deep pink in the central flower) could be swapped for any suitable scrap, as you only need enough for 30 stitches!
I hope you enjoy making it and would love to see your version!
