A small essential for summer - Sneaker Socks! These come with some airy openwork on top. HUGO sneaker socks are knitted on a set of DPNs using three needles (+ working needle).
The heel is knitted as half handkerchief heel with heel flap. It has airy big Polka Dots in a simple openwork pattern on the instep. Stitch motiv is shown in charts and in written description.
Any nice sock yarn will be perfect to use. Up to size 7.5 - 8.5 (38/39) you may even get two pairs of sneaker socklets out of one 100 g skein.
A tutorial how to do the kitchener stitch to graft the toes closed with photos and written expalantions is included.
Gauge is 32 sts x 42 rs = 4 x 4’’ (10 x 10 cm), knitted in stockinette stitch on US 1.5 (2.5 mm) needles.
