Hydrangea Shrub - 6" Square

This square is reminiscent of the colorful hydrangea shrubs that flourished in my grandmother’s neighbor’s front yard when I was a child. The pattern combines bullions, post stitches, and crossed stitches to create texture.

Skills used Basic crochet stitches: chain, double crochet, single crochet Working in rounds, increasing, and joining new colors Bullions, crossed stitches, post stitches (written explanations are provided in pattern)

Materials Medium/aran weight yarn in 3 colors (30-35 yds/27.5-32 m in each color).

I-9/5.5 mm crochet hook, or any size needed to obtain correct gauge.

Yarn needle.

Gauge 1 square in pattern = 6” (15.25 cm). Exact gauge is not critical for this project.
