Product Details
I have used three different shades of Lettlopi Icelandic wool - each ball was 50g. There are two sizes of gloves women's medium and women's large or small/medium man's hand. For the larger size you should have at least 70g of the main colour. With Fair Isle patterns you can choose how many colours to use. There are many different shades of this wool, I was gifted the three colours I used from a friend who'd been to Iceland.
The gauge is 10cm x 10cm (4inch x 4inch) 23 stitches to 19 rows over the Fair Isle pattern (stranded).
The gloves are knit in the round using three double pin needles size 4.00mm. I used short 20cm length needles though you can knit with longer needles though I advise shorter needles especially when knitting the fingers and thumbs.
The wool is Arran weight and is a little hairy, but lovely and warm.
