What you'll need
Product Details
This shawl is formed from tapered segments. It can be made using two colors or each strip can be a different color. Each tapered point is decorated with beads which ensures the shawl drapes nicely as it is worn. My sketch for the shawl looked like a hedgehog, hence the name Igel, which is German for Hedgehog. The yarn also fits: Hedgehog yarn for a Hedgehog shawl.
This is suitable for those new to Slip Stitch Crochet, it only uses front loop slip stitches (F) throughout.
The lace sections are both fully written out and charted. There are six charts. The pattern includes a schema for the short row construction.
The pattern includes written instructions and a section with step-by-step photo tutorials for
front loop only slip stitch (F)
short rows
The pattern is available in English and German.
