I was listening to Nirvana’s “Where Did You Sleep Last Night” when this Spun Right Round yarn came in the mail. The yarn reminded me of pine trees scattered in the mountains, and the idea for this tee was born. I designed it to be a simple, light layer to go over a dress or to wear casually with shorts or pants.
This tee features a boxy shape, knit from the top down, with a drop shoulder. It is worked flat until the desired sleeve depth is reached, then the front and back are joined to work in the round. There is a simple lace eyelet worked in a contrast color to add interest to the tee. I knit mine with a speckled yarn for the MC and a tonal for the CC. Since the majority of the tee is stockinette stitch, a yarn can really shine.
