Product Details
Iris is an asymmetric wrap which uses the pretty Iris stitch. Increases are made at the beginning of every second row. These form the distinctive curve on the upper edge of the wrap (longest side). Decreases at the end of every fifth row form the decorative ‘steps’ on the opposite, or lower, edge of the wrap. In the last row the Iris stitches are replacing by shell picot stitches to give a pretty edging to the third side of this irregular triangle. When you’ve completed the final row you’re finished. The edging is all worked as-you-go so you can keep going until your yarn runs out. So this a great project for a special skein or ball of yarn.
The sample is made with Mondial Seta, 100% silk.
You can use the recommended yarn or any 100g ball of fingering or 4 ply yarn.
